Celebrity Casino Night Proves Big Success, Eva’s Heroes to Benefit

Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria, and her San Antonio Spurs basketball-playing husband, Tony Parker, recently held their first Annual Tony and Eva Parker Celebrity Casino Night. The casino event was founded by the couple in order to raise money for ‘Eva’s Heroes’, a charity dedicated to enriching the lives of mentally challenged children and teenagers by helping them better integrate into society. Eva launched the charity about two years ago since she herself grew up with a disabled sister by the name of Elizabeth. Eva explained that as a baby she did not receive enough oxygen to her brain.

The Celebrity Casino Night was sponsored by UltimateBet, who not only offered a seat at the 2009 World Series of Poker Main event in Las Vegas, but also donated a classic Aruba prize package to the live auction held at the casino. The package indluced a seat at the 2008 Main Event, and a one on one casino poker lesion with professional Phil Hellmuth in his private Aruba suite.

The event proved to be both a massive success and a whole lot of fun! The couple was surprisingly quite skilled at the casino tables, taking part in a range of games including poker, craps and Roulette. Despite that Eva’s long time friend, Victoria Beckham, did not manage to make it to the event, she was later joined at the casino tables by house star, Jennifer Morrison. All profits were donated directly to Eva’s Heroes.
