Online Casino Signs New Security Contract

No one likes to do business when there’s a security risk and online casino companies are certainly no different. Keeping the game fair, as well as protecting themselves and all their customers, should be one of the first priorities of any online gambling site. Victor Chandler, one of the biggest online casino sites and sportsbooks, had exactly that in mind when they decided to upgrade their current security of online operations. According to the IT publication Computer Weekly, more than 450 employees work at Victor Chandler and in order to protect them and the company, the site has decided to sign a three-year security contract with Scansoft

"We cannot gamble on web security" said recently Chris Murchison, VC's operations engineer, pointing out to the fact that the company’s employees use the web all the time, either for exploring other online casino sites or dealing with third party companies. Adding to all of these, the company has recently opened a new office with 25 staff in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which obviously required a totally different remote solution in order to keep both place in contact.

As our world keeps getting “smaller” and more connected, it shouldn’t come to us as a surprise if more online casino companies decide in the future to protect their assets with similar security contracts. Just as other Internet-based companies have been doing it for the last couple of years, the online gambling industry is starting to act that way as well.
