Online Casino Software Supplier Announces New CEO

It seems as since the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, changes are occurring much faster at the online casino industry, and this week is no different. Playtech, one of the biggest online gambling software providers, has announced this week that Mor Weizer will be the next chief executive officer of the company, as Avigur Zmora – the current CEO – will move up to the deputy chairman slot. Weizer, who joined Playtech 2 years ago, was until now a senior operational manager within the group, and his responsibilities included overseeing the company’s licensee relationships and the company's marketing activities.

“I am very pleased to welcome Mor Weizer as Playtech’s new CEO” says Roger Withers, Chairman of this online casino software provider. “As our customer base keeps growing and starts including multinational clients, I think that it’s essential that the chief executive officer will have some experience of managing complex multi-dimensional client relationships. Mor, without a doubt, is the ideal man for doing that” added Withers. “In addition, we have created the new Executive Deputy Chairman position, which will be manned by Avigur Zmora, which did a fantastic work as the CEO

Before joining Playtech, Weizer worked for Oracle for over four years, initially as a development consultant and then as a product manager. Before that, he worked as an auditor and financial consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers. These are not easy times for Playtech, or the entire online casino industry, but if Weizer will succeed in his new job as the former CEO did then Playtech has nothing to worry about.
