Be Aggressive, But Only When Playing Online Poker

We certainly don’t recommend you be a bully in your everyday’s life, but being a bad guy at the poker table may be at times the best strategy. Actually, at some online poker versions, such as Texas Hold’em, if you don’t try to intimidate your opponents then most chances are that they will try to do you the same. Being “aggressive” at the poker table will not always work, but in many cases it will cause your opponents not to play their normal game, and constantly trying to guess what will you do next. By keeping them guessing and applying constant pressure, you’ll be able to get fantastic results almost every time.

Poker, and online poker as well, is a game of respect. If the other player’s respect you, or are afraid of your game, they will most times play defensively, which is exactly what you want. That way, you’ll be able to be on the attack all the time, which is the way that you should be playing this game. Not only it will give you an enormous advantage, but it will also gain you even more respect

It’s important to remember that there’s a big difference between a poker bully and a poker maniac. The bully may play aggressive, but always plays intelligently and fair. The maniac, at the other hand, is bound to make many mistakes, as he usually bets at everything. In the long run most chances are that he will lose everything, even if he had some lucky hands. There’s nothing bad about being an “online poker bully”, as long as you always remember to play fair, play smart and most importantly - respect your other opponents.
