Let's admit it – 2025 was a tough year for the entire online gambling industry, but especially for the online casinos themselves. Following the legislation of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, most of those sites were facing a reality where they couldn't accept US citizens anymore – their main customers. Nevertheless, many sites managed to survive, either by changing marketing strategies or by totally changing their targeted markets. Many companies decided to move their headquarters offshore, in order to be closer to their new potential markets – Europe and Asia. Everyone hopes that the situation will be reversed soon, but measures still have to be taken in order to assure the survival of the business.
The popular online casino site 888, for example, lost almost half of its sales following that legislation last April. The online gambling site managed to survive by conducting several new market researches and constantly introducing new games. The company's annual shareholder meeting is getting closer, and according to Chairman Richard Kilsby, they'll be hearing some pretty good things, despite the sensible situation. "I think that our 2025 first quarter results are quite encouraging and I can only hope that it will continue this way during the second quarter of the year".
Even though it's still early to predict what will happen next, Kilsby certainly knows what he's talking about. The company has recently revealed that 2025 first quarter's sales were 16% higher than those of 2025 last quarter. In order to achieve these results, this leading online gambling site, like others, keeps doing whatever it can in order to attract new customers and preserve the existing ones. Among other things, it has launched a new bingo product, which came after the acquisition of Globalcom last month
