You might ask, what does the eight ball have to do with an online casino? For one belongs on the green velvet table in the smokey snooker hall, and the other online on your computer screen at home. Well, in a matter of two or three months, the answer will be self evident and the two will have all the world to do with each other. A new deal reached, signed and announced earlier this week has a leading online casino and England's top snooker club chain join in snooker clubs and online operations.
The online casino company will assist the snooker club chain, which numbers 168 clubs across the UK, in developing an online poker site. The online casino, which has been around the top of the industry since its early days, will be able to offer its experience and successful business methods to the new poker brand name. In return, the snooker clubs, about 100 of them, will host poker game machines from the online casino at the clubs.
The CEO of the online casino company said of the deal: "This is a hugely exciting, unique and innovative partnership... [It] creates a unique customer offering and experience, unparalleled in the offline and online poker world, where customers are able to be part of a community of poker players that meet and play live poker both online and offline." The ambitious deal between the snooker chain and the online casino has a no less ambitious timelines, expecting the new features to be offered as early as this coming spring.
