The American government has shown time and time again through the introduction of unrealistic gambling legislations that it doesn't truly understand the attachment of the American people to the online casino industry. Yet Industry experts expect that over the following two months, online casino gambling in the States may be more popular than ever, and as a result more obvious.
The predictions have been made following Mother Nature's recent attacks on the U.S., where hurricanes have been wreaking havoc, to say the least. The online casino industry is expected to gain from the situation due to the fact that the weather will most probably cause gambling facilities to close. And despite that many land-based casinos guaranteed that they would be prepared for major hurricanes after Katrina hit, it is unlikely that people will take the chance going outside.
Hurricane Ike has already brought in devastating winds and rain to the U.S., yet should it continue to push forward towards the Gulf Coast, may land based casinos can be expected to close. Several have already shut down operations due to the mandatory storm evacuation procedures.
According to Jim Forrester, a dealer at a Louisiana casino, online casino gambling has become so popular that people have stopped going to casinos. When the weather is bad, he says, it is almost certain that they will stay at home and hit their favorite online casino.
