An online casino company, just released its third quarter results this week. The results showed that the growth in revenues in markets outside the US has risen 20%. This is especially good news since the online casino company lost a great deal of its business due to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act. The law prohibits companies operating in the US from transferring money to online casino companies. The online casino decided to pull out from the US market.
The online casino company had revenue of $38 million in the third quarter this year, this as apposed to $32 million a year earlier in non US revenues. A spokesperson for the online casino company said that the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act has had no affect of the non-US market. Some analysts believed that the loss in US players will cost the online casino industry a certain loss in non-US players. This hasn't been the case.
The online casino company's Chief Executive John Anderson said: "888 is debt free and has ample liquid resources to both fund our operations and participate in attractive opportunities for market consolidation," Anderson refused to comment on the discussions with Landbrokes, who have showed interest in buying the online casino operator. The online casino is continuing to grow. It lately released new online casino games and new localized versions of their website in Spanish and Danish.
