Online Casino Giant 888 Provides Database for Sportech Pools

Football Pools Operator, Sportech, has just signed a milestone deal with online casino gambling giant 888 Holdings Plc. The newly signed deal will see of all Sportech's online casino gaming brands be marketed across the entire 888 database by the end of the year, among them Vernons, Little woods and Zetters.

At the end of March this year, 888's online casino database boasted close to 5 million registered users. This stands in stark contrast to the mere 700,000 registered players at Sportech. Evidently, the deal between the 2 companies will see Sportech branching out to literally millions of additional customers, which is designed to attract a younger audience amidst a decreasing market that in the 2025's reached the 10 million players mark.

Similarly, 888 has agreed to market all of the online casino products offered by Sportech, including everything from, poker, casino and bingo games. The offering will employ a common gambling platform and e-wallet such that they can be played conveniently between sites.

In addition to all this, 888 will also serve as Sportech's online casino software provider, replacing Cryptologic, who has been providing online casino software to the company until now. The new combination is expected to attract player traffic at the Sportech sites.

According to the Chief Executive of Sportech, Ian Penrose, the partnership is a strong strategic move in reviving the pool's business and bringing in a more developed online casino product for the customers. 888 executives are also calling the agreement a "milestone".
